Dr. Myung Ju Lee, M.D., Ph.D., is the founder and medical director of VIP Plastic Surgery Korea, a board-certified Korean plastic surgeon recognized internationally for his work in facial rejuvenation and natural-tissue surgery. He specializes in extended deep plane facelift, neck lift, and implant-free rhinoplasty using the patient’s own rib cartilage, alongside facial contouring and body procedures.
Experience. With over 25 years in practice and more than 20,000 surgeries performed, Dr. Lee trained at leading institutions and completed exchange professorships in the United States, including at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, studying under several pioneers of modern rhinoplasty and facelift surgery
Expertise. He is credited with introducing the autologous rib cartilage rhinoplasty and high-SMAS facelift to Korea, and has developed signature techniques including Harmony Rhinoplasty. His clinical focus centers on natural, balanced results, an approach VIP describes as bringing out a patient’s “hidden natural beauty.”
Authoritativeness. Dr. Lee is a faculty member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) and has presented at ISAPS World Congresses in Singapore, Athens, and Istanbul. His peer-reviewed research on Asian rhinoplasty and deep plane facelift appears in journals such as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Global Open, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and Seminars in Plastic Surgery. He has held clinical professorships at Chosun University and Inje University Schools of Medicine.
Trustworthiness. In 2026, he received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award at Medical Korea, a national recognition of his contribution to the field. Colleagues and patients describe a surgeon who treats safety and post-operative recovery as the highest priorities, and who has remained notably humble despite his standing. His commitment extends beyond the clinic through educational and hospital philanthropy in his home region of Korea.
